ARBIL / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi Vice President Tariq al-Hashemi called to transfer his case to Kirkuk province, noting that if this is not done he will resort to the international community.
In a press conference held today in Arbil, he demanded that the investigation should be open and transparent.
"If this proposal is not accepted, it will mean that the Judicial Council is determined to deprive me of my rights, and then I will resort to international community," he confirmed.
Earlier today, Aswat al-Iraq reported that Hashemi could face a trial in absentia if he does not appear in Baghdad.
