Iraq calls for American business to invest in the education sector

Erbil, February 21 (Rn) - The Iraqi Minister of Higher Education on the writer during his visit to Washington officials, major corporations and American business leaders to engage in investment in the higher education sector through the construction of universities and residential communities for teachers.
This came during a meeting held by the writer and his accompanying delegation with officials of major American investment companies and businessmen on the sidelines of the visit by the United States according to a statement issued by the Iraqi Ministry of Education.
The statement quoted the Director of Information Qassim Mohammed Jabbar told the writer as saying that U.S. companies during the meeting that had a "great opportunity to engage strongly in the field of investment in higher education Iraq through projects developed at universities and processing as well as the implementation of projects to build residential complexes for teachers."
Jabbar said that the writer "Display for U.S. companies to outline the Ministry's strategy for the next four years, which include construction of a major university cities added to the existing educational institutions and the University's 20 spread in all governorates of Iraq."
