BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Iraqi Parliament begins its session discussing the articles of the 2012 federal budget, and is meant to complete the first and second reading of seven more draft laws, a lawmaker said on Wednesday.
"The parliament during Wednesday's session will continue discussing the paper of amendments to be presented by the financial committee of the 2012 Federal Budget draft law," MP Mohammad al-Khaledi told Aswat al-Iraq news agency, noting that the vote on the law would be on time next Thursday.
"Today's agenda also includes the first and second reading of seven bills, including amending the penal code and the social care network bill," he added.
