High-level Iraqi delegation in Saudi Arabia looking security issues

"Gate of Iraq" BAGHDAD - The Interior Ministry announced Thursday that Iraqi security delegation held high-level Iraqi recently in Saudi Arabia "important talks," a reference to additional convergence between Baghdad and Riyadh.
The ministry said in a statement posted on its website that "the high-level Iraqi delegation headed by National Security Adviser Faleh al-Fayad, accompanied by a senior agent of the Ministry of the Interior Adnan al-Asadi spent recent days hosted by the Saudi government."
The statement added that "the delegation held important meetings with Saudi officials on issues of Saudi detainees in Iraq and ways to improve bilateral ties and Iraq's efforts in the fight against terrorism and other issues of common interest."
The statement did not specify the date of the visit also did not announce the Saudi officials who met with the Iraqi delegation.
The visit marks an important additional reference to the convergence between the two neighboring countries, after the Kingdom presented Monday to the Iraqi embassy in Riyadh nominate its ambassador to Jordan Fahd Abdul Mohsen Al-Zaid to be a non-resident ambassador in Baghdad.
