BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Kurdistan Regional Government received on Saturday five helicopters to control traffic movement, according to media website of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK).
“We bought helicopters to develop the traffic system in the region and to use the modern technology to tackle the all traffic problems,” Rizgar Mohammad Ali, Kurdistan Region’s Traffic Police Director said.
The Kurdistan Region is witnessing a steady increase in the number of victims of traffic accidents.
“Five helicopters arrived in the Arbil airport; two will be delivered to Arbil, two to Sulaimaniya and one to Duhuk,” he added.
