Ministry of Communications about to establish Smart Village project

Baghdad (NINA) – Ministry of Communications announced it is about to establish the Smart village project in Iraq.
A statement issued by the Ministry quoted the Minister Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi as saying "a request was submitted to the National Investment Commission in order to build its first Smart Village in Iraq similar to some countries like the United States, Canada, and Egypt."
He added "the village will set up what is known as the Smart Office which has the latest and the best means of communication and information."
He explained "the project consists of large hall for meetings, conferences, events and several buildings to be the headquarters for many companies, shopping mall, an electronic library, Movie Theater, and other accessories."
He said "all actions, legal and engineering measures are included in line with the standards of the National Investment Commission and in cooperation with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development." /End/
