Baghdad (AIN) –Member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee Amir al-Kinani assured that “The General Amnesty law draft will be enlisted on the agenda of the Parliament session of next Tuesday.”
Speaking to All Iraq News Agency, he said Sunday “The general amnesty law draft will be on the agenda of the parliament session of next Tuesday to be read for the second time.”
“The Legal Committee will read the law draft at the Parliament in order to be discussed and discover the weak and strength points that came in the law draft,” he pointed out.
t’s worth to mention that the parliament has postponed its discussion over the general amnesty law draft due to the lack of the political deal over it.
The general amnesty has resulted in huge disputes among the political blocs especially between the State of Law Coalition and the Sadr Trend due to the calls of the SLC to modify some items which determine the included persons in the general amnesty.
The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki referred to the general amnesty law draft as a “Relapse” in the history of the political parties where it shows the legitimacy authority to forgive even the corrupted persons. /End/
