Baghdad (AIN) –MP Azad Abu Bakir of the Kurdistani Alliance pointed out that "The only way for settling the current political crisis is that the judicially wanted Vice-President, Tariq al-Hashimi, submits to justice."
Speaking to All Iraqi News Agency (AIN), he said "We said many times that Hashimi's presence in Kurdistan Region embarrasses the government of KR," stressing that "The solution for this crisis is that Hashimi submits himself for the court and to prove his innocence and we call also to settle the crisis through the negotiations."
"Some of Hashimi's statements against the Central Government while he is in KR cause embarrassment for the Kurds," he concluded.
Earlier, the investigation committee formed by the Supreme Judicial Council issued an arrest warrant against the Vice-President Tariq al-Hashimi and forbid him from traveling outside Iraq for accusations over conducting terrorist acts.
Hashimi rejected to submit himself to the court, calling to transfer his case to the courts in Kurdistan Region. /End/
