Baghdad (AIN) –The first Deputy Speaker Qusay al-Sihail called Germany and the European Union to support relieving Iraq from the UN Charter’s 7th Chapter.
A statement by the Parliament received by AIN cited Wednesday “Sihail received the German Ambassador to Iraq Karl George Becker and accompanying delegation and discussed with him means of developing bilateral relations in economic, scientific and parliamentary aspects as well as facilitating German investments in Iraq.”
Sihail also emphasized importance of opening new scientific links among the educational establishments and Universities in Iraq and its equivalent in Germany.
The statement added “Deputy Speaker Sihail called Germany and the European Union to support the Iraqi efforts to relieve Iraq from the UN Charter’s seventh Chapter.” /End/
