Baghdad (AIN) –MP Samira al-Musawi of the State of Law Coalition SLC stated to (AIN) that “I am calling to apply certain policies about delivering armored cars to the officials in the government.”
“These policies should include the official’s address and the security situation in his area in addition to other criteria to define who needs to be given an armored car,” al-Musawi added.
The Iraqi Parliament approved on the session held on the 23rd of February to purchase 350 armored cars for its MPs for IQD 60 billion, that equal $ 50 million, but the parliament decided to cancel its decision last week because it raised a lot of criticism among the citizens and the religious authorities that called to invest the allocations for buying the armored cars to other projects. /End/
