Baghdad (AIN) –The Mayor of Baghdad Sabir al-Esawi assured that “All preparations for holding the Arab Summit in Baghdad will be finalized by Mid March.”
A statement by Baghdad Municipality received by All Iraq News Agency cited Saturday “Esawi confirmed during a field visit to the location of holding the Arab Summit inside the International Zone that all preparations for holding the Arab Summit are almost completed.”
“All the preparations related to holding the Summit starting by the Baghdad International Airport till the International Zone will be completed by March 15,” noting that “Holding the Summit in Baghdad and participation of the Arab leaders indicate the major role of Iraq in the Arab and Regional environments.”
The next Arab Summit will be held in Baghdad on March 29th after finalizing all the preparations to host it and Arab Countries’ approval for Iraq’s invitations to attend the Summit.
Meanwhile, the Arab League refused to invite Syria to attend the Summit due to the current riots and violent events in Syria. /End/
