Baghdad (AIN) –MP Liqa al-Wardi of the Iraqiya Slate IS called the Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki to "demand Kuwait, during his expected visit to Kuwait on March 14th, to relief Iraq from of the UN Charter's seventh chapter which denies Iraq from granting its full sovereignty."
MP Wardi stressed in a statement received by (AIN) on Saturday that “It is very important to put the Iraqi-Kuwaiti files, especially the seventh chapter, on the top of the issues to be discussed in the Arab Summit.”
Al-Wardi also demanded “To end paying Iraqi compensations to Kuwait, delimitation the borders and to stop the repeated arrest of the Iraqi fishermen by the Kuwaiti naval forces,” noting that “Kuwait should help Iraq out of its crisis rather than being a burden on its economy.”
The Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki will visit Kuwait on March 14th to discuss the pending files between the two countries such as relieving Iraq of the UN Charter's seventh chapter. /End/
