Baghdad (AIN) –The Parliament session, which was headed by the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, and attended by 170 MPs, was lifted till next Monday.
Parliamentary source stated to All Iraqi News Agency AIN "The parliament lifted the session after voting on many law drafts and postponing a number of other law drafts," noting that "The session lifted due to the lack of quorum."
Earlier, the parliament voted on postponing the reading of the first amendment of the budget law draft concerning canceling the Salaries of the retired members of the Local Councils to prepare a more mature draft, the parliament also many issues including canceling the Resolution of the Revolutionary Council of the former regime NO. 196 in 1984, the agreement concluded for establishing the International Agency of Renewed Energy and on postponing the nomination of the Judges of the Cassation Court due to the disputes among the blocs over this issue. /End/
