Baghdad {: News} Euphrates MP hired for 'Abdul-Hussein Abtan, that the high prices of fruits and vegetables in recent times was due to non-court policy of the government, stressing that the high value of the U.S. dollar against the Iraqi dinar has nothing to do with this rise.
Abtan said in a statement to the Euphrates News Agency {} on Tuesday that "the cause of high prices of fruits and vegetables in recent times is the decision of the Council of Ministers introduced to prevent cross-border ports of Iraq."
The Ministry of Agriculture announced last February to prevent the import of fruit and vegetables from all the neighboring countries in implementation of the Council of Ministers Resolution No. 408 supporting the Iraqi products and the presence of local production covers the needs of the market, indicating that the crop of Iraq safer and more safety than those imported.
He Abtan "This decision needs to review and careful consideration, although he supports the farm Iraq, but did not apply in the port north Madf merchant, especially in central and southern governorates to pay about 3 thousand dollars on each car loaded with these materials for the purpose of introduction by the Kurdistan region and delivery to his area. "

This Abtan said that "this increase has nothing to do prices increase the value of the U.S. dollar against the Iraqi dinar at all."
