Talabani calls on security agencies to foil attempts aiming to disturb climate on the Summit’s eve

Baghdad (NINA) – President Jalal Talabani condemned the explosions that occurred on Tuesday, Mar. 20, in Baghdad and some provinces, calling on the security agencies to foil attempts aiming to disturb the climate on the eve of the Arab Summit.
A statement issued by the President’s Office quoted Talabani saying that terrorist carried out series of criminal acts in which tens civilian casualties fall in an attempt to disturb security and stabililty as well as to create tension on the eve of the Arab Summit.
Talabani added that holding the Summit in Baghdad is to consolidate bridges between Iraq and other Arab countries to recognize its sovereignty and being a genuine member of the Arab League, as well as being an important regional country. / End.
