According to a presidential statement faxed to all Iraq [where] said that "after deliberation and extensive consultations with Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and speaker of the House of Osama alngivi and with other political leaders and personalities, Jalal Talabani, President of the Republic had decided to convene a national meeting on Thursday, 5th of April 2012."
"Talabani invited the Preparatory Committee tasked with preparing for the meeting to expedite its work and create the work programme before the date mentioned, wishing to make joint endeavours Talabani to access adequate and comprehensive solutions that meet the needs and aspirations of the Iraqi people and believes that strengthening national harmony and mutual solidarity work for stability and updating building State institutions and service delivery and development."
Leaders of political blocs intends to hold a national meeting after initialization by a small Committee during the preparatory meetings, political papers of large blocks to reach a unified vision and resolve the political crisis in the country.
The Iraqi list and the Kurds agreed to hold a national meeting before the Summit met with Arabic while the Iraqi list, Iyad Alaie, Chairman of the Kurdistan region Massoud Barzani stressed the importance of national meeting before the Summit but stressed Arabic national coalition in a meeting last Friday that convening the national meeting will be after the Summit to be held in Baghdad Arabic next Thursday. ended
