Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, Sunday, that the presence of Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir to the Arab Summit to be held next Thursday, is not an embarrassment to Iraq, and when he said that the latter is not a member Criminal Court, he pointed out that the Iraqi government provided all the assurances required for hosting.
Zebari said the program brackets which will be presented, on the evening of Monday, the space-Sumerian, "The Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir will come for the Arab summit and does not constitute an embarrassment to Iraq because he attended conferences and meetings and go to any country which is invited to the summit."
Zebari said that Iraq "provided all assurances required by the Iraqi government for hosting," adding that "Iraq is not a member of the Criminal Court is not binding in this matter."
The Presidency of the Republic of Iraq, announced on Sunday (25 March 2012), that Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir to be charged to an international genocide will come to Baghdad at the head of official delegation to participate in the meetings of the Arab Summit to be held in Baghdad on March 29 this month.
Bashir faces charges of genocide in the Darfur region, and the International Criminal Court issued in July of 2010 warrant for his arrest on the charges against him be implemented through the International Police (Interpol).
