Talabani, underlines the willingness of Iraq to play a role in the Arab family

Arbil, March 26 / March (Rn) - The President Jalal Talabani on Monday, the importance of convening the Arab summit in Baghdad, adding that Iraq host of the summit is a victory for all Arabs, as is a victory for Iraqis.
The Arab summit in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, the largest international event organized by the country since 2003.
According to a statement posted on the website of the Presidency of the Republic that "President Jalal Talabani received in Baghdad on Monday, the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Arab, Nabil and his accompanying delegation in the presence of Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, Iraq's representative at the University of Qais al-Azzawi."
The statement quoted Talabani, speaking during the meeting that "Iraq is a complete full preparations for the summit, he welcomes all Arab leaders and their representatives in Baghdad," stressing that "they have lots to facilitate the work of the summit and make it up to the challenges and responsibilities faced by everyone under the current circumstances."
Talabani said "Iraq's willingness to discharge its important and vital is required of him within the Arab family in the current circumstances and in the period during which he will assume the presidency of the Arab summit," the statement said.
The summit is expected to discuss the internal situation in Baghdad, Syria and the unrest caused by the uprising calling for regime change as well as the restructuring of the Arab League and Arab issues spring.
Iraq hosted the Arab summit twice, the first summit was ninth in 1978 and that decided to boycott companies and organizations operating in Egypt, which deal directly with Israel, and not to approve the Camp David, and the second was the summit of the 12 in 1990, which witnessed the severe tensions between Iraq and Kuwait and the UAE Arab Nations, where broke out after the second Gulf War.
For his part, praised the Arab preparations of Iraq for the summit and confirmed in this regard, "completion of these preparations are well and in proportion to the importance of holding the summit in Iraq, which is the state founder and president of the Arab League" as presented to the Iraqi President, "an explanation of the agenda of the Arab summit, the twenty-third."
He also commended the Arab League delegation on the "important role of the President of the Republic in the provision of appropriate conditions for the Iraqi national understanding," and expressed "confidence in the success of the national meeting to be held next week in Baghdad under the auspices of President Talabani."
