President of Kurdistan, Massoud Barzani, left today to Washington to meet President Obama
A source at the head of the Kurdistan region of Iraq for a visit by regional president Massoud Barzani on Wednesday, to Washington to meet U.S. President Barack Obama and senior U.S. officials, according to Asharq al-Awsat.
The spokesman of the Presidency of the Kurdistan region Omid Sabah had said earlier that the Kurdish regional president Massoud Barzani will visit the United States within the next few days at the invitation he received from President Barack Obama, is expected to meet with U.S. President and senior leaders of the administration during his visit .
The spokesman said after his visit to America Barzani will tour in several European countries aims to discuss political and security situation in Iraq, events and developments in the region and their effects on Iraq and Kurdistan.
