He said after a meeting with representatives of the Italian oil company Eni: the local government is constantly working to support the oil companies operating in the province in order to achieve an increase in production rates and contribute to the development of the service actually.
He added that the government of Basra is eager to overcome the obstacles and problems facing the work of those companies and contribute to finding appropriate solutions as well as to discuss with them on projects in which they can provide services to the people of the province . .
For their part, unlike the representatives of the Italian company are keen to continue to work in coordination with the local government through mutual visits and maintain the link between the two parties to strengthen the relationship that is in the interest of work and increase production . They noted that the company is working to increase production to reach 1.2 million barrels per day according to the plan decree.
