Form a joint committee between Arbil and Baghdad to investigate the smuggling of oil
Chairman of the Presidium of the Kurdistan region of Fuad Hussein, the formation of a joint committee between Arbil and Baghdad in the coming days, to investigate the smuggling of oil, and the completion of the mutual accusations between the two sides.
Hussein said (of the Agency news) on Wednesday that the committee will work to show the facts about oil smuggling, which is common between the Government of the region and Baghdad, to put an end to the series of mutual recriminations about the smuggling of oil.
He added that the Committee will be composed of representatives of the Iraqi parliament and Kurdistan parliament and representatives of the Federal Oil Ministry and the Ministries of Natural Resources and Finance and the economy in the region to investigate the mutual accusations between the two sides on the smuggling of Iraqi oil and the investigation in the history of smuggling oil from Basra and several other areas south of the country to Iran.
Hussein said that the accusations launched by Hussein al-Shahristani, from time to time and the other is an extension of his personal vision does not reflect the government's vision of Iraq, noting that al-Shahristani wants to cover up the failures suffered by the oil sector in Iraq through those statements.
