Baghdad (NINA) – MP from White Iraqiya Slate, Aliya Nuseif, demanded the government to adopt firm stances on the commercial and investment levels against Kuwait in a protest against Kuwait’s building Port Mubarak in Bobyan Island which will deprive Iraq from using its territorial water.
She said in a press conference today “the situation obliges a response like commercial and investment boycotting Kuwait, in addition to include an item in the contracts signed with the foreign companies not to enter Iraq through the Iraqi-Kuwaiti borders.”
“The boycott should include Kuwaiti goods as well to give them a message that these violations are officially and publically rejected,” she went on saying.
Nuseif concluded “we were waiting for the Kuwaitis to do anything that could move things to deal with the case positively, but, it sounds that the Kuwaiti brothers think that Iraq is too weak to boycott their country in different domains.” /End/
