Iraqi MP Nabil Hrbo
"Portal Iraq," Baghdad - has ruled out the Iraqi List led by Iyad Allawi, Saturday, to respond to a set of five plus one of Iraq's request to host its next meeting, stressing that the call was influenced by Iran in order to reduce the Turkish role in the region, as well as supporting the government of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.
The MP said the Iraqi List, Nabil Hrbo, said that "it is unlikely the consent of the States five plus one to hold the summit in Baghdad because Iraq's request in this regard was presented the impact of Iran," adding that "the States concerned were probably accept this request if Baghdad was submitted without that effect. "
He Hrbo that "the Iranian side is trying to achieve two things by asking a meeting of five plus one in Iraq, the first reduction of the Turkish role in the region and to highlight the same that it has the decision to hold meetings and meetings and wherever he wants whenever he wants."
He Hrbo that "Iran's second objective is to give the kind of support and backing of the government of Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to explain to the Arab States and regional that it is able to intervene in matters of the region, especially the issue of Iraq."
It is noteworthy that Tehran and Ankara stand at opposite ends of the Syrian crisis, while supporting the first government of Bashar al-Assad, the second stand against it and those who call to drop the top and support the forces opposed to it.
He favored the MP for the Iraqi List, that "the visit of the Iraqi National Security Adviser Faleh Al-Fayad, Turkey recently to try to persuade them to convert to a meeting of Iraq without affecting the relationship the two countries", ruling that "the Turks agree to transfer the meeting to Iraq."
The newspaper "Freedom," Turkish revealed on Friday (the sixth of April 2012), for the Iraqi national security adviser Faleh al-Fayad, visited Turkey two days ago for talks with senior officials in the context of trying to Baghdad re-normalization of relations with Ankara, stressing that the Turkish side expressed in response to what the Iraqi campaign adviser.
The Iraqi Foreign Ministry announced that, in (the third of April 2012), for providing Iran a request to Iraq to host the international meeting of the permanent members of the UN Security Council (U.S., Russia, Britain, China and France) plus Germany, on the Iranian nuclear file, which was to be held in the Turkish city of Istanbul on the fourteenth of this April, according to a previous agreement between Tehran and the group.
However, the differences between Tehran and Ankara on the Syrian issue caused tension in the relationship between the two capitals and perhaps was the reason for the request of Iran.
The international community accuses Tehran of using its civilian nuclear program declared to conceal a plan to develop atomic weapons pose a serious threat to the security of the region, while still the United Nations imposed sanctions on Tehran over this file and for not allowing international inspectors to visit centers of reactors to determine their nature, while Iran has denied repeatedly seeking to acquire nuclear weapons, asserting that the goal of a civilian nuclear program exchange, and approved the production of over 4,500 kilograms of enriched uranium since 2007, an amount sufficient to produce four nuclear weapons, according to estimates of experts.
The United States tightened progressively stricter sanctions because of the lack of response of Iran to respond to international efforts on its nuclear program, and became the penalties more severe than has approved President Barack Obama, a law to crack down on sales of Iranian oil through the threat of removal of foreign banks for the U.S. financial system if dealt with Central Bank of Iran, and prohibition of all forms of trade with Iran.
