MP from SLC: things going in the right direction to solve the IS-SLC crisis

Baghdad (NINA) – MP from the State of Law Coalition, Abdul Salam Al Maliki, said things are going in the right direction to solve the crisis between the SLC and the Iraqiya Slate, especially after the Parliament Speaker, Osama Al Nujeifi, explained his recent statements.
In a statement to NINA, Maliki said today “Nujeifi convinced the parliament with what he meant in his recent statements regarding holding a Sunni region, he stressed that he looks after all Iraqis as he is the parliament speaker.”
“We, in the National Alliance, are serious in our attempts to solve the crisis between the IS and SLC because they are the biggest slates, especially after the meeting that was recently held and sponsored by President Talabani which brought the viewpoints together,” Maliki went on saying.
He concluded “soon, there will be a breakthrough in the crisis, we will consider the Iraqi people’s interest over any other goal,” referring that “the solution lies in implementing the Erbil agreement.”
