Iraq’s Finance Ministry approves adjustment to security elements salaries
Baghdad, Iraq’s Finance Ministry has agreed on Sunday to adjust the salaries of the Forces of Internal Security, according to a new law, as from Nov.
1, 2011, according to an urgent report by the semi-official al-Iraqiya TV Channel.
“The Finance Ministry has decided to adjust the salaries of members of the Internal Security Forces, according to the new law, as from Nov.
1, 2011,” the Channel quoted Member of the Security & Defense Committee, Hassan al-Sunaid, as saying.
The Iraqi official gave no further details.
Usually the expression “adjust” in the official Iraqi terms means increase of salaries, but the official did not define the percentage of the increase.
