Secretary-General, Mr. Ban Ki-moon meets with ambassadors of countries in Geneva

Held Director-General of the Executive Office of the United Nations in Geneva, Mr. Qasim Tcayov luncheon in honor of the Secretary General of the United Nations, Mr. Ban Ki-moon attended by ambassadors and permanent representatives of the United Nations in Geneva.
He gave Mr. Qasim Tcayov speech welcoming the attendees and then gave the Secretary-General addressed a lengthy explanation of the vision of the events taking place in the world and the Arab region and in particular the events in Syria and the efforts made by the representative of the secretary-general and the Arab League, Mr. Kofi Annan to reach a solution satisfactory to all parties. He then discussed the issue of the financial crisis and disarmament, human rights and focused on the rights of women and children and to provide possibilities for the advancement of poor peoples. He talked about the efforts for achieving the MDGs and the Economic Conference of UNCTAD next.
He also met with Secretary General of the United Nations, Mr. Ban Ki-moon on the sidelines of the conference Similarly Permanent Ambassador Mohamed Ali al-Hakim gave congratulations on the success of the Arab summit in Baghdad and that he wished to bear fruit in strengthening the ties of Arab relations in light of the changes that have occurred and still occur in the Arab world.
He thanked the Permanent Representative of Mr. Ban Ki-moon to attend the Summit in Baghdad and asked the Secretary General of United Nations cooperation with Iraq to end all residual effects it through a Chapter VII.
The guests then eat lunch at a restaurant located in the United Nations, the main building of the Palais des Congrès.
