Deputy Governor of the Central Bank to leave Iraq after his resignation

BAGHDAD (Iba) .. A source familiar with the Deputy Central Bank Governor Ahmed Jubouri had submitted his resignation and left out of Iraq.
The source, who works in the banking industry and has informed the work of the Central Bank, told the independent press (Iba) said Jubouri is a great influence in the Iraqi Central Bank which is responsible for external file transfer and movement of banking and the preservation of Iraqi dinar exchange rate.
He noted that Jubouri now moving between the Jordanian capital, Amman, Beirut, Lebanon, adding that the resignation was for medical reasons, as announced.
The Central Bank is exposed to severe criticism because of the continuing decline in the exchange rate of the Iraqi dinar against the dollar, while experts say that has been affected by the local currency in Iran and Syria as a result of international economic sanctions behind the smuggling of hard currency from Iraq and the high exchange rate.
