Oil announces its quest to privatize the refineries and attract investment after the growing demand
The Ministry for the privatization of oil refineries after the growing domestic demand for petroleum products, and attract investments in this sector to increase production to 750 thousand barrels per day in 2013.

U.S. Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil for refineries and gas industry, Ahmed Shama at a London conference that "Iraq is working to raise the productivity of existing refineries of 550 thousand barrels per day in 2011, to 610 thousand barrels per day at the end of this year, to 750 thousand barrels per day during the next year 2013.
Chandler explained that "the domestic demand for gasoline in excess of 20 million liters per day, while the total demand for gas oil material 22 million liters per day." / 3
