Basra, April 22 / April (Rn) - was in the province of Basra, Sunday the signing of a contract between the Ports of Iraq and the Kuwaiti Company for the reconstruction of Hescu marine dredger "Basra" at a cost of $ 5.9 million.
The media company official said Iraqi ports Anmar net Kurdistan News Agency (Rn) that "the contract with the Heavy Engineering and Shipbuilding HEISCO Kuwait includes the rehabilitation of dredger Basra and introduced to the field work during a period of five months."
"The contract was signed at the headquarters of Iraqi Ports Company in the presence of representative of the Japanese Foreign Minister and Chairman of the Japanese loan captain Hussein Abdullah and representative of the Representation of UNDP development cooperation."
Noting that "the amount of money for the reconstruction of Basra dredger projects allocated from the Japanese loan for the ports."
The net that "the ports will work to buy a new offshore rigs in addition to what is available to its excavator to dig the navigation channel of the port of Faw."
And includes the province of Basra (550 km south of Baghdad) five commercial ports and two ports PB.
