Parliament confirms the deletion of zeros move

confirmed the parliamentary decision of the Economic Commission Mahma Khalil move structuring the Iraqi currency and delete zeros from them.

Khalil said, according to (Euphrates News) said the draft structure of the currency and delete zeros of which will have significant economic benefits and will reflect positively on the economic reality for the citizens. He added there is determination and insistence on the implementation of the project as it will contribute greatly to maintaining the Iraqi funds and value in the global market. He said Government asked to wait in the implementation of the project of the circumstances of the country, denying the existence of intention to cancel the project is important.
and announced that the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers that the Council issued a decision to wait in the application process to delete the zeros of the national currency.
A statement of the General Secretariat that the decision requires to stop action all related process mentioned and until further notice.
