The opening of a consulate in Arbil talks within Kuwait and Iraq on Sunday

Cairo, April 28 (Rn) - The official source at the Iraqi Foreign Ministry on Saturday, the importance of the visit of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al Hamad Al-Sabah to Baghdad on Sunday which will see the opening of consulates in Basra and Erbil.
The source told Kurdistan News Agency (Rn) that "the visit is of particular importance as it comes after a summit of Baghdad that has seen a historic visit to the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to Kuwait ahead of a meeting of the Arab summit in Baghdad and make excellent results at the level of outstanding issues between the two countries, especially Iraq's debt, which binds the result of the Iraq policy that was practiced by the former regime. "
The source added that "the meeting is the second between the two Iraqi and Kuwaiti and will complete all the talks, which began the month of March during a visit by Iraqi Prime Minister of Kuwait and the closure of all outstanding issues," adding that "the delegation will visit Iraqi Kurdistan to open the Consulate of Kuwait in Arbil as well as discuss investment in the provinces of the region. "
The Kuwaiti delegation includes in its membership the Ministers of Finance, transportation, and oil in addition to a number of senior officials of ministries, institutions and bodies involved in the meetings of committees of the second session of the joint higher committee.
The two sides reached the Iraqi and Kuwaiti al-Maliki during a visit to Kuwait on March 14 for a deal worth $ 500 million to settle the debt back to the period of the Gulf War, as had been agreed to overcome the differences that erupted between the two sides following the policies of the former regime.
