In a statement contrary to frantic and fierce attack, which led to the sacking of the Iraqi List, Maliki, Deputy Prime Minister Saleh al-Mutlaq said the withdrawal of confidence in Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki will drag the country into sectarian war.
Mutlaq said in a statement to Al-Iraqiya semi-official that "the withdrawal of confidence from the government of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki will not solve the political crisis in the country, but requires a move to repair defective formation of the political process."
He has decided last December to freeze the Office of the Vice President Saleh al-Mutlaq, a background description of the latter has a "dictator," but he returned to his post without any powers as Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki issued an order to the competent authorities in the prime minister not to implement the decisions of Saleh al-Mutlaq and make his powers in his office only.
