Baghdad (AIN) –The Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, sent two messages to the Iraqi President, Jalal Talabani, and the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, on Saturday.
The Iranian News Agency stated "Nejad sent two separated messages to Talabani and Maliki where he expressed his gratitude for them for hosting the meeting of 5+1 countries for the negotiations over the Iranian nuclear program in Baghdad."
"Nejad indicated that Iraq through its elected leaders started to occupy important international and regional position, wishing Iraq and Iraqis all success and progress," the statement concluded.
The 5+1 meeting was held in Baghdad during the 23rd and 24th of last May. /End/
