150 tons of expired foodstuff destroyed in Salah-il-Din

Baghdad (AIN) –The Health Control Department within the Health Department of Salah-il-Din province has destroyed more than (150 Tons) of foodstuff which are not suitable for human consumption.
The Health Directorate quoted the Director of the Health Control Department, Ahmed Ashur, as saying in a statement to AIN that "The destroyed foodstuff were (milk, cocoa, tomato paste, sugar and rice) and the foodstuff were destroyed on the health Landfill area of eastern Balad district of southern Tikrit city the capital of Salah-il-Din province."
The statement added that "The observation process is continued on the markets of Salah-il-Din province to check on the expired foodstuff and from time to time the Health Directorate destroy some expired foodstuff in order to preserve the safety of the citizens." \ End\
