British companies offer deferred payment investment in Wassit

BAGHDAD: The Chairman of Wassit's Provincial Council said today that some British companies offered to work investment in the province on a deferred payment basis in the fields of oil and electricity.
Mahmoud Abdul Redha added to Aswat al-Iraq that the group of the British companies extended offers to erect power generating stations working with fuel oil (Black oil) on the deferred payment basis.
On the other hand, the companies expressed desire to implement infrastructure projects, such as roads, bridges, airports and refineries to be completed when pumping crude oil from Al-Ahdab oil field next July.
Redha promised to extend all possible assistance to facilitate their work in the province.
Kut, center of Wasit province, lies 180 km south of the capital, Baghdad.
