The Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday, held talks with Turkey to establish a new border crossing to facilitate traffic between the two countries, stressing that the ad hoc committees of the two sides conducted a study of the site the proposed establishment of the crossing which will submit its recommendations to approve the project.
The head of the Department of the neighboring countries in the ministry, Walid Hamid Cltag through press conference held in Dohuk: The two delegations from Iraq and Turkey legally yesterday, to hold meetings in the province of Dohuk on the establishment of a new border crossing near the port Ibrahim Khalil », pointing out that« the two delegations visited yesterday, the proposed site for the establishment of the new terminal which ».
He added that the two sides agreed to open the crossing in the Hinava, a region that enjoys the benefits of qualifying for the establishment of a border crossing where, adding that «the results and recommendations of the meetings the sides will submit to the governments of Iraq and Turkey to sign the project and approved».
The head of the neighboring countries at the Foreign Ministry that the new terminal is vital the two countries and will contribute to the revitalization of the economic and trade relations further, noting that the new crossing will connect the two countries by a network of roads and railways, as well as a free trade area which contributes to stimulate trade and economic.
The Commerce Department announced last month that Iraq and Turkey signed in Ankara on record includes the parties to confirm the need for action to resolve the obstacles facing the work of Ibrahim Khalil border gate and open another border gate.
