Mayahi demand to increase housing loans

Baghdad (AIN) –The member of the Economic and Investment Parliamentary Committee, Aziz Sharif al-Mayahi, demanded the government and the Parliament to increase the housing loans which are granted for citizen from IQD (30) million to IQD (50) million.
Mayahi stated in press conference to AIN on Friday that ''The housing loans which are granted for citizens in order to build their houses are considered few compared to the prices of building materials.''
He added ''The Government should increase the funds from IQD (30) million to IQD(50) million in order to provide the good and suitable houses according to the most basic standards of adequate housing."
He pointed out ''The capital fund of housing loans should be increased from one trillion to two billions and a half so that it can cover the increase in the housing loans in order to include the most possible number of families which need houses.'' \End\
