Two car bombs in the town of Mahmudiyah, south of Baghdad, killed at least 10 people and wounded dozens on Sunday evening, medical officials said.
One car bomb detonated at 7:15 pm (1615 GMT) and another minutes later, just before the Iftar meal that breaks the daytime fast observed by the faithful during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
Two medical officials said at least 10 people were killed and 36 wounded. Both spoke on condition of anonymity.
