Baghdad (AIN) –MP, Ali Shubar, of the Citizen bloc stated that the law draft of Basra as "Economic Capital of Iraq" was read for the first time by the parliament on Saturday and will be read for the second time soon then Basra will be the "Economic Capital of Iraq".
Speaking to All Iraqi News Agency (AIN), he said "The law draft has many points that establish a capital in all standards," noting that "The law draft is well studied and ready to be voted on."
"The law draft will be applied after allocating the financial funds to the general secretariat and the commissions that will be formed by the Council of Ministers," he concluded.
The Citizen bloc, sponsored by Basra Governor, held an extended conference on Thursday to support the project of Basra the Economic Capital on Iraq. /End/
