Russian company signed agreements to participate in the production of oil with the Kurdistan Regional

Erbil, July 1 (Rn) - The Gazprom Neft's oil arm Gazprom Russian gas export monopoly it had bought a stake in Amtyazen Kurdistan Region of Iraq, following similar moves by international companies compete.
Gazprom Neft will take 40 percent of the concession area Ckramaan to be on an equal footing with Western Zagros Canadian franchise operators and 80 percent of the area Hachal. The Kurdistan Regional Government will retain 20 percent share in both Alamtyazen, according to Reuters.
Gazprom Neft and estimated potential reserves of the two regions by 3.6 billion barrels of oil equivalent.
The company has another project in Iraq near the Iranian border, where it expects to produce about 15 thousand barrels per day starting in 2013.
Vadim Yakovlev, said First Deputy Chief Executive in a statement: "Based on our experience in the good cooperation with the Republic of Iraq, where the share is already in the development of Badra field the company decided to boost its presence in the country."
"The implementation of these projects will allow Gazprom Neft plans to increase its contribution in Iraq to boost oil production to gain additional experience in this country and to strengthen its presence abroad."
