Essawi stresses necessity to upgrade banking sector’s human resources

Baghdad (NINA) – Finance Minister, Rafi’ al-Essawi met with the Advisro of US Treasury Department accompanied by a delegation of advisors of American banks.
A statement issued on Thursday, July 14, by the Finance Minister’s Office said, “Both sides asserted the necessity to draw a working frame to upgrade the performance of Iraq’s public banks through adopting international criteria that enable improvement in the banks’ performance.”
The statement quoted Essawi stressing the necessity to develop and modernize banks’ human resources through cooperation with international institutions. / End.
