A source close to the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy, Hussain al-Shahristani to obtain preliminary approval from Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki on oil contracts concluded by the international companies in the province of Kurdistan, was a matter of debate and disagreement between the governments in Baghdad and the province.
The source said that this trend comes to ease the current crisis in order to Hlhaltha one hand, and not to give any justification for the Kurdistan Regional Government to seek to conclude more contracts without the knowledge of the government or against her, noting that the crisis between Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and President of the Kurdistan region is centered a large part of which about oil contracts.
He explained that the pressure applied by the U.S. administration on the government in Baghdad have been instrumental in reaching this formula, asserting that Maliki spoke on condition of acceptance of those contracts, that is passed from Baghdad, in coordination with the province.
