Political movement between parties is expected after Eid al-Fitr, says Kurdish Blocs Coalition

ERBIL, Aug. 19 (AKnews) - The vice president of the Kurdish Blocs Coalition (KBC) in the Iraqi Council of Representatives has said that he expects political movement among Iraqi political parties to resolve the crisis in the country after the Eid holiday.
Muhsin al-Sadoun said: "The security situation in the country is in a critical condition. The government seems unable to protect the people."
The Iraqi police said earlier on Friday that 20 soldiers were killed and wounded in an armed attack carried out by unknown assailants on two checkpoints in the Mshahda area, which is inhabited by a Sunni majority north of Baghdad.
Two elements of the Iraqi army were killed yesterday and four others were wounded when a bomb planted on the side of the main road exploded west of Baghdad.
Tens of civilians were killed when a car bomb exploded in the Shiite-majority Husseiniya area north of Baghdad. Tens of victims were killed when four car bombs exploded in Kirkuk. There were also other attacks in Salahaddin, Diyala and Nineveh.
