Shimmari: Next days to witness endorsing crucial law drafts by parliament

Baghdad (AIN) –MP, Kadhim al-Shimmari, of the White bloc assured that the next days will witness endorsing some crucial law drafts by the parliament, noting that "The possibility of re-discussing the local elections law draft again."
Speaking to All Iraqi News Agency (AIN), he said "The parliament session that is held after the holiday will not include any crucial law drafts."
He pointed out "The Federal Court, Independent High Electoral Commission, Supreme Judicial Council and Oil and Gas law drafts need to a political deal and it is not wise to discuss them in the first session."
"We have found a desire by other members to make the next period to witness a serious issue rather than wasting time," he added.
Regarding the law draft of the elections, Shimmari stated "The law draft of the elections was voted on and endorsed where no one can discuss it again except the President, Jalal Talabani, when it is being submitted to him for endorsement," noting that "The reports over the attempt of the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, to re-consider the elections law draft are groundless because it is no within his authorities to do so."
"White bloc supports re-considering the elections law draft and to make the empty seats to be distributed on the biggest winner not loser," he concluded. /End/
