Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -The Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki denounced displaying a US movie that defames the personality of the Great Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him).
A statement by Maliki’s office cited “Repeating the violations against the religious leaders and beliefs by suspicious individuals or groups requires denouncement,” noting that “The last movie which intended to degrade the holy and noble values of the Muslims should be denounced and prohibited.”
“All religions and good people should unit to fight extremists and their dangerous thoughts,” according to Maliki, who stressed necessity to “Avoid adopting violence and resort to wise and civilized principles Islam while confronting extremism.”
Maliki emphasized that “Keeping silent towards the bad behaviors and violations of those extremists might endanger the communication process among Peoples of the World and heavenly religions and might open the door for violence and chaos in the world.”
