Al-Iraqiyah bloc attempts to defame gov't - MP

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: A National Alliance MP said that "al-Iraqiyah's MPs are looking for everything that defames the work of the Iraqi government."
MP Ali al-Alaq added that the cabinet has disclosed with transparency the achievements of all ministries, charging al-Iraqiyah bloc as having "lost its mind."
Alaq added to Aswat al-Iraq that "integrity dossiers are the specialization of the Integrity Authority," describing some al-Iraqiyah bloc statements as "defaming the political process."
"Al-Iraqiyah bloc has gone insane looking for everything that defames the work of the Iraqi government," he said.
The advisor of Iraqiyah bloc Hani Ashor said in a statement that "the government has failed in its duties because the 100-day time table for evaluating the work of the ministries did not expose the corrupt people, though there exist many corruption dossiers."
"Premier Nouri al-Maliki has lost a good opportunity to fight against corruption, which led the Iraqi people to feel more negatively for the future," the statement added.
When commenting on the visit of Alawi's trip to Kurdistan, he added that "the Kurdish Alliance has its clear stance on the political process, but if the others are planning something else, it is their question."
Differences between the two main political blocs are concentrated on the Higher Strategic Policies Council and its mechanism of work.
There are also differences on the security dossiers.
The security posts have remained empty since the formation of the government last December.
