MP calls Government to adopt investments in fighting corruption

Baghdad (AIN) -The head of the Parliamentary Services and Construction Committee, MP Viyan Dakhil, urged the Iraqi Government to launch the investments and give the companies chances to enter the investment market to eliminate the corruption spread in the State institutions.
Dakhil added in a statement to AIN "The Ministry of Electricity spent $ 32 billion during the past six years on improving electricity sector; however, the citizens are supplied with 4 hours only of electric power current.”
She called to "Make use of the Kurdistan Region's experience in this regard where it managed to fix the shortage of electricity power and it is providing currently 22 hours of electricity power per day."
