Baghdad / NINA /--Parliament Speaker Osama Nujaifi announced resorting to the three presidencies to solve the problem of Kirkuk elections law in case of absence of a consensus within the Commission in charge of the preparation of the provincial election law.
A statement by Parliament media office said : "Nujaifi chaired today a meeting of the parliamentary committee charged of preparing Kirkuk Provincial Council elections law with the presence of Georgian-Posten, Deputy Special Representative of the UN General-Secretary.
Speaker urged the relevant committee to continue holding meetings, calling for all parties who participate in the committee to show flexibility.
He statement ended: "the conferees agreed to mandate the UN mission to help Iraq by preparing a report on the security situation in Kirkuk and the mechanism by which security can be maintained during holding elections in Kirkuk province.
