Thamir ghadhban told the Iraqi Prime Minister's Adviser on energy on Tuesday 2 October that Iraq's oil production of 3.4 million barrels per day and exports to 2.9 million barrels a day on average by next year. Iraqi oil Minister Abdul Karim laiby said earlier that Iraqi crude exports would exceed 2.6 million barrels per day in September, as production volume by more than 3.3 million barrels per day. Iraq seeks to strengthen productive capacity to assist foreign companies to reach 12 million bpd by 2017 but this seemed an unrealistic goal due to infrastructure bottlenecks, poor logistics capabilities. And Iraq is expected to produce between 8 and 8.5 million barrels per day, while some analysts and officials at oil companies that once you reach 6 million barrels per day by 2017 would be a difficult task on the war-ravaged country.
