Baghdad (AIN) –The parliament approved forming a Federal Council that comprises four members of each province where its authorities will be shared with the parliament and it will be similar to the US Congress.
MP, Muaed al-Tayib, of the Kurdistani Alliance stated to All Iraq News Agency AIN) on Tuesday "The parliament approved forming a Federal Council where it will comprises four members of each province, including the provinces of Kurdistan Region, because the Federal Court obliged the parliament to vote on this law draft during its current term to start its tasks next term."
"This law draft is mentioned in the constitution and was prepared by the Parliamentary Legal Committee," he added.
"This is an important law draft where its authorities are shared with the parliament over endorsing the law drafts," he pointed out, assuring that "The Federal Council is similar to the US Congress and its authorities will be higher than the parliament." /End/
